Zorb ride in Russian mountains proves deadly

Zorb ride in Russian mountains proves deadly – Yahoo! News.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with what a Zorb is, let me paint a picture. A giant bouncing ball with you inside. Sounds like fun right? Yeah, until you put it on top of a snow covered mountain, set it in motion with two grown men strapped inside, then expect one man at the bottom of the hill to catch said giant bouncing ball hoping that it doesn’t go over the edge of the cliff!

I am sorry for the man who died, it is a tragedy, but I also must say who in their right effing mind thinks this is a good idea?

NYC gym teacher claims 6-year-old student beat him up

NYC gym teacher claims 6-year-old student beat him up | The Sideshow – Yahoo! News.

I do not agree with the way Yahoo titles or even represents this story. It comes across all wrong. I also do not agree with the picture that Yahoo posted of the boy, granted the picture was taken by the New York Post, but I think it sensationalizes the story. Shame on the Post for even having that child pose like that.

Now on to my real complaint. These parents are wrong, and well done for the gym teacher. It had to take a lot of self control not to reach out and back hand that kid while he was being bitten, then to be kicked in the knee and the ankle… wow, I think someone needs to be sent to anger management.

The parents ask how a little first grader can do so much damage, it’s really quite easy. You can break many bones in the human body with anything over 5 to 7 pounds of pressure. A 6 year old kid can generate that amount of strength behind a kick quite easily.

Hump Day…

So it’s hump day and again it has been almost a month since I posted a blog. I tell ya, I am terrible with this lately. I have just been so busy at work and with life, I don’t have time to even think about a blog. Hell recently I haven’t even been posting stuff to Facebook, just haven’t had the time or the inclination really.

When I haven’t been working, I have spent all my free time reading as of late. As most of you know I love to read, and well that is what I have been doing. Seeing how I have a place for reviews on my blog, I should actually start posting some reviews of what I have read. I think this may be a good idea.

Anyway, last week I was caught up in Under The Dome by Stephen King. I finished that in about four days, this week I am reading The Tommyknockers. I will do reviews on both. Until then, I am at work just taking a quick little break and thought I would blog while I had a cup of coffee.

See you all on the flip side!

Since I haven’t blogged in a while, I thought I would start off with our recent family vacation.

We flew into Fort Lauderdale and then did a wonderful road trip up to Delaware. Then on to Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, then back down to Fort Lauderdale. We stopped at many outlet malls along the way and did tons of shopping, we also ate a ton of food stopping at various places we don’t have in the Virgin Islands.

We visited with family and friends and even met some of those friends for the first time. The brat loved Cedar Point and I think that was the highlight of the trip for her. G really enjoyed driving to the lake and seeing the light house as the sun was beginning to set, it really was quite beautiful.

I must thank Sasha, Deanne, and Johnnie for opening their homes to us and allowing us to stay with them. I also need to thank my dear cousin Hollie for having a cook out at her house and getting the family together. Marsha, my dearest and neatest friend from high school, the day with you was amazing and your family is great. We must not wait another 18 years to do it again. Finally, my dear clueless1, Gina, your home in the mountains is beautiful and thanks for breakfast.

We are already planning next years vacation, I know we said we were going to go west, but we are actually going to go south. Next summer we are going to do a cruise, I think I have it picked out and will probably put down the deposit in the next month. While I would love another roadtrip, the brat wants a cruise, so that is going to be her 18th birthday present.

I think that is enough for now, I hope you all have a fabulous evening.

Peace and love my friends.

I have been awful when it comes to my blog, most of the time if I have something to say I just post it on Facebook and be done with it. I think I need to change that. So, while I am not promising anything, I will try harder to remember to blog it.

In the meantime, I hope everyone has a fantastic day!
